Meissen Figure of Harlequin with Tankard, c.1915

Kaendler in 1738, wearing a black with red and gold diamond costume, holding aloft a silvered tankard inscribed 'ZM 1738' with crossed swords beneath in his left hand, and carrying his feathered hat in the other, seemingly in joyous movement on an rococo moulded base encrusted with flowers. Blue crossed swords to base, circa 1915.
