A Meissen teapot and cover finely decorated with a continuous European landscape, depicting trading scenes to one side, which includes a Turkish figure in all his regalia by a statue, the reverse with gallantry on horseback by a pillared arch, painted upon the bullet-shaped body, applied with wishbone handle and animal spout, the cover similarly decorated with a miniature landscape and applied with a flower head finial. Underglaze blue crossed swords to underside, circa 1740.
