Meissen Documentary Art Nouveau Figure of a Boy riding a Hobby Horse by Konrad Hentschel, c.1905

Charmingly modelled as a boy wearing a white smock and a newspaper hat made from 'Keramishe Zeitshrift' (Ceramic Journal) with the date 1905, from a series of children by one of the manufactory's key modellers of the period, Konrad Hentschel. Blue crossed swords, incised model number W 120, impressed assembler's number 58, black painted decorator's number 18 to the base, circa 1905.
