Royal Copenhagen Rare Crackle Glaze Vase and Cover, c.1959

Of octagonal form decorated with alternate bands of orange and grey over a craquelure glaze, the cover moulded as a putti with orange shawl sitting on sheaves of wheat and holding a cornucopia of flowers, highlighted with gilt borders and accents throughout. Green circle mark, blue three-wave mark, black painted 212, 2847, dcx to underside of cover and base of vase; stuck on paper label printed with crown and three waves to underside of cover.
