History

From a series of 75 models known as Reynard the Fox. Reynard the Fox was the central animal in a series of loosely connected animal fables which were popular in medieval Europe. The entire series was created by Esser between 1920 and 1928.

Underglaze blue crossed swords with dot. Impressed monogram denoting that this is one of the 75 models from the Reynard the Fox series. Incised model number H248. Impressed assembler’s number 136.
