History

Crystalline is a special type of glaze where zinc silicate crystals form in the glaze during a complicated firing process; the kiln temperature is varied and the amount of time the object spends at temperature ramp ups or cool offs affects how the crystals form. Because the crystals form randomly in the glaze, each piece is unique.
