Meissen rare pair of vases after the Duplessis model

After the Vincennes/Sèvres model by Jean-Claude Duplessis, each of lobed flared shape moulded with rocailles to the body and applied with scrolling handles, heightened in gilding and with a gilt border of shells, foliate scrollwork and trellis panels along the rim, on a naturalistic rock-work base applied with foliage and sea shells.

Crossed swords marks in underglaze blue to the rear of the bases.
