KPM Berlin vase with sweet pea flowers

Decorated with hanging blooms of sweet pea in a deep relief of layered enamel with gilt highlights over a high-fired body of deep indigo, fissured to reveal ‘veins’ of the pea green beneath. The neck is decorated with a frieze of overlapping leaves and clusters of sweet pea buds.

Underglaze blue sceptre, overglaze red orb and KPM, incised 484, gilt d, all to the underside of the base.
