Nast Rare Cup and Stand

History

The cup with a classical winged figure playing trumpets flanked by angels riding horses on each side, the border of the stand with alternating panels of muses and seated griffins flanking a gilt portrait medallion, the centre with a panel of the sun.

The interior of the cup and underside of the stand entirely gilded. Hand painted nast in gilt to undersides of cup and stand, circa 1800.
